Attractions
Your sejour in Tučepi will mean for you swimming, snorkling or scuba-diving in the crystal sea, trekking or climbing the magnificent Biokovo mountain-both in the same day if you wish, plenty of sightseeing to go along and all sorts of sports activities in town's modern facilities. However, should you decide to take a trip outside of Tučepi, say, to have a drive or to sail along the coast, admire monuments of Split or Dubrovnik or visit the islands of Brač, Hvar, Korcula-you will easily rent a car, scooter or a bicycle, catch a boat to the islands as all these services are available at your convenience. Please note the modern small harbour only 100 m away fit for 200 boats, should you arrive with one. Sea & Beaches
Swimming and sunbathing is possible as early as from mid May, until October. Fortunately, Villa Pavica is only 50 meters away from the sea, so you won't have to make those long trips to the beach. If you are a naturist, then you'll probably appreciate the fact that Tučepi naturist beaches rank very high in terms of seclusion and scenic beauty. Biokovo
Biokovo is one of Croatia's most renown parks of nature. Praised for its robust magnificence , this mountain is frequented by both alpinists, trekkers and nature-lovers. Mountain's plant and animal life makes Biokovo one of World's most spectacular and preserved sites.
Biokovo is very much accessible by car, as the narrow road winds through the park of nature all the way to its peak, St. George (Sv. Jure - 1862 m). Nevertheless, make sure not to miss on the trekking experience. The mountain attracts many alpinists each year, and there is also a possibility of horse-back riding. Up until fifty years ago, most of Tučepi population lived in what is nowadays referred to as "Upper Tučepi", located few hundred meters above the sea level. Upper Tučepi is a system of small villages scattered around the lush countryside on the slopes of Biokovo mountain. It takes about 30 minutes by foot on a steep road winding through olive trees and orchards to reach Upper Tučepi. From up there you may enjoy beautiful view stretching all the way to Makarska and the islands. Makarska
