Beach & Swimming
If you come between May and September, then you won’t be able to miss swimming and sunbathing. Fortunately, Villa Ankora is practically on the beach, a mere 5-7 meters from it, so you won’t have to make those long trips just to go for a swim. The beach in Tučepi stretches as far as eye can see, along the entire resort town. There are facilities for scuba diving, jet-skiing, para-gliding, as well as rental services – from boats to bikes, motorcycles, to simple deck chairs.
Biokovo
Biokovo is one of Croatia’s most renown parks of nature. Praised for its robust magnificence , this mountain is frequented by both alpinists, trekkers and nature-lovers. Mountain’s plant and animal life makes Biokovo one of World’s most spectacular and preserved sites.
Biokovo is very much accessible by car, as the narrow road winds through the park of nature all the way to its peak, St. George (Sv. Jure – 1862 m). Nevertheless, make sure not to miss on the trekking experience. The mountain attracts many alpinists each year, and there is also a possibility of horse-back riding.
Upper Tučepi
Up until fifty years ago, most of Tučepi population lived in what is nowadays referred to as “Upper Tučepi”, located few hundred meters above the sea level. Upper Tučepi is a system of small hamlets scattered around the lush countryside on the slopes of Biokovo mountain. It takes about 30 minutes by foot on a steep road winding through olive trees and orchards to reach Upper Tučepi. From up there you may enjoy beautiful view stretching all the way to Makarska and the islands. During Summer, the hamlets of Upper Tučepi host a culture festival with theater plays and art shows.
Makarska
Only three kilometres away, Makarska is the main hub of the Riviera, home to many shopping, dining and entertainment venues.
